Our life with the Wayana indians

Our clock ’turns up-side-down …’

This morning our son Andre called us with the message that their youngest, Maurits (almost 3 years old), has been diagnosed with leukemia.
He is in the hospital in Rotterdam for further treatment.
For us this is reason to change our plans into ‘how does Marjolein travel to the Netherlands ASAP’.

images-1Our insurance covers the travel expenses and right now her ticket has been booked. MAF will pick us up in Apetina tomorrow (Wednesday) so Marjolein can travel with KLM on Thursday, arriving in the Netherlands early Frydaymorning.

This way Marjolein hopes to be a blessing helping out in the first few weeks in Andre and Wimke’s family supporting them in this first period of adjusting to this situation.

Marco plans to leave next week for Orlando, FL, to attend the World Team America’s LEAD meeting. He is asked to join the temporary leadership team filling in for the vacancy of the Area Director for the America’s.

If or when Marco will also join Marjolein in the Netherlands after this, we will decide in relation to the further developments in Andre’s family.

Please pray with (and for) us that both of us will be a blessing for and able to be a comfort to, those that we will meet and have fellowship with.
