There is much we are thankful for:
Good health, a healthy and Avery rewarding marriage, the Lords faithfulness in guiding us in our language studies and many, many more blessings to be grateful for.

We want to share one highlight:

Last July we were upriver from Lawa for the conference in Solonam Pata.
God revealed Himself as a Holy God by taking away the speech of a Wajana songleader.
This songleader was backslidden from his faith. He was rude and abusive to his wife and children. He was walking in the ways of the world.
He had no langer the desire to read Gods word and to sing Gods praise. Then one afternoon after a fight with his wife, God Almighty stopped him in his tracks. He revealed to the songleader that he would not be able to speak for seven days.
This encounter with God brought him to his knees and he was willing to repent and confess his sins to the elders.
He came to the conference and for three days the elders of the Wajana Church together with elders from the Church of Maripasoula and Wacapou, read his written confessions, searched for the guidance of the Lord how to deal with this matter in a prayer meeting at five o clock in the morning.
Sundaymorning, during the service, this man gestured that he wanted to testify. Everybody in the congregation was completely silent. What would happen now?
He cleared his throat several times. Nobody in- or exhaled. Finally he shouted “Ipokenma man Kan!” (God is great!). After that he urged his tribesmen to follow Jesus. “Don’t test God like I did. Don’t think you can walk both roads.” He said.
To God be the glory.

We’re anticipating God working in the hearts of the Wajana’s.
On the other side we see there is a battle going on.
Since May of this year we learned from three elders from the Lawa church that they are diagnosed with diabetes. All three suffer from poor eyesight right now. Please pray with us that God will restore his servants health.
